Unfortunately, because loose caps are too small to be successfully sorted and recovered at the MRF they will be landfilled. Journey over!

CAPS & CLOSURE COATINGS

Currently we rely on average consumers to put 'caps on' bottles to recycle them correctly. Failing this basic step (psst...which happens a lot!) caps end up being landfilled.

Magnomer's magnetizable coatings allow loose caps to be separated at MRFs by use of simple magnets.

No manufacturing headaches. No impact to artwork. Just a recyclable bottle!

HOW DO OUR COATINGS HELP?

Our testing with industry partners has shown that over 90% of all loose bottle caps end up in the so-called 'minus 2 inch' glass line in MRFs.

Bottle caps with Mangomer's coatings can be removed from this pile by use of simple magnets.
